Hi!  I'm Kelly. 

I love sewing!

I started sewing at five years old and have not stopped in decades!  My first big project was making stuffed animals for the kids at Pittsburgh children's hospital.  Making toys for the kids made me feel like Santa even though I was just eight when I made my first delivery.  In college I dealt with stress by making quilts for kids.  Sewing is just part of who I have always been.

My husband is a retired Air Force fighter pilot.  He served around the world for 20+ years.  Every place we went I taught other spouses to sew in what affectionately became known as "stitch and bitch" sessions.  Sometimes more stitching, sometimes more bitching, but always great!

My husband's uniform was one of the most iconic and recognizable parts of his job.  My girlfriend and I were sewing one day and she decided we should make stockings from our husband's old uniforms.  Cool!  I was totally in. 

Turning old flight suits into gifts caught on.  Turns out there are loads of us who want Santa to fill our Christmas Cockpit stockings with candy and treasures!  I have gotten tons of support from other military spouses interested in upcycling their husband's uniforms (not just flight suits) into custom personalized stockings.  Military spouses are the best!  No seriously, you are!
